Work out what each delivery shape takes out of your frame. A 9:16 crop of a 16:9 master keeps 31.6% of the picture - area kept is min(a,b)/max(a,b), one division - and the 68% that goes was framed by somebody who was not thinking about the vertical cut. Computes what every shape keeps and which axis it takes, whether a given subject survives any crop at all, whether one crop holds two subjects, and whether the master has the pixels for it or the delivery is an upscale. Five lanes plan, check, subjects, resolution and deliver. The engine is free and runs in the browser.
