A fortune cookie generator that writes its own lines. Pick a tone — dry, warm, ominous or absurd — a kind of sentence, and how many you want, and get short original fortunes with lucky numbers. Every line is checked in your browser against a corpus of anonymous traditional proverbs and fixed idioms, checked for invented attributions, and measured against the tone you actually asked for. Near-matches are shown to you rather than swallowed.
