Paragliding
Cross-country paragliding in the browser, in real 3D, hand-written WebGL2. The pilot is a suspended mass on a rigid line array below a flexible canopy, so pitch is a genuine pendulum degree of freedom and the angle of attack follows from the wing's measured line geometry plus brake and speed-bar input rather than being prescribed. The air is a lattice of superposed Hill spherical vortices - an exact divergence-free solution - that rise, grow, weaken and drift downwind, so a thermal column leans with altitude and comes with its own compensating sink. Tasks use turnpoint cylinders, an air start with start gates, an end of speed section and a goal line, and are scored with the CIVL GAP formula from the FAI Sporting Code Section 7F, 2026 Edition V1.0. The wing is a BGD Tigra L, EN C, built from its Air Turquoise EN 926-2:2013+A1:2021 certification reports. Seven engine constants are fitted to seven published numbers and every sink rate on the polar is a prediction; the model's known limits are stated on the page. Not connected with the FAI, CIVL, BGD or Air Turquoise.
