Spec to MCP - an OpenAPI spec turned into an mcp-use MCP server

spec-to-mcp.skillsafe.ai

Clean

Turn one OpenAPI 3.x or Swagger 2.0 spec (JSON or YAML) into an mcp-use MCP server. Free in your browser: the spec read and its local refs inlined, every operation mapped to one tool by the skill's deterministic rules (operationId in snake_case or method_path, collisions suffixed, summary + description + tags, path / query / header / JSON body fields merged into one zod object), .env.example from the servers and security schemes, index.ts with an OPERATION_ALLOWLIST, the skill's templates and a setup.sh for a create-mcp-use-app project - with the template gaps flagged: apiKey in a query, form and multipart bodies, binary responses, undeclared path parameters, missing descriptions, large specs, external refs. Metered runs write the review (each finding decided, the scope, the test plan with failure paths, the order) and the build (index.ts, client.ts, auth.ts and .env.example fitted to the spec, checked by the page). Built on the SkillSafe skill @mcp-use/openapi-to-mcp, from mcp-use/mcp-use (Apache-2.0).

Every public app is built from a security-scanned skill and must pass a clean scan — skill and frontend — before it can be listed. Have a skill of your own? Turn it into an app — or read the step-by-step walkthrough.
