Grows Here - will this advice grow in your soil?
Most advice is right for the person who gave it. Write down one piece of advice, say who gave it and what you know of their situation, and rate six growing conditions for them and for you - safety net, spare time, appetite for risk, experience in this area, people in your corner, room to move. Free in the browser: the advice printed as a seed packet, a growing-conditions chart marking each condition match, small gap, big gap or unknown, a sweeping-word scan, and a verdict by a fixed rule (compost, graft, pot first, plant). Two metered tasks on the same advice: a fit check (what it was rooted in, quoted word for word; what each gap means for you; how sure it sounds; the plain version that fits your plot; a small trial) and a steelman of the opposite (the reasonable opposite advice, its three strongest reasons, who it suits, when the original still wins, the common ground, a trial). The page re-checks every reply. Built on @tjboudreaux/thinking-circle-of-competence and @tjboudreaux/thinking-steel-manning.
